Fatma Mohamed is the CEO of the Northern Nomadic Disabled Persons’ Organization (NONDO), a dynamic leader with a wealth of experience in fundraising, managing, coordinating, , monitoring, and evaluating initiatives that promote disability inclusion. Her career trajectory reflects her deep commitment to advocating for the rights, inclusion, and participation of Persons with disabilities, particularly from Kenya’s nomadic and pastoralist communities.

Having risen through the ranks  to her current position, Fatma has developed a reputation for her expertise in advancing socio-economic and political inclusion for marginalized groups, with a special focus on women with disabilities. Driven by a vision of creating equal opportunities for all, her passion lies in movement-building and equipping Persons with disabilities with economic skills, empowering them to take an active role in improving their own livelihoods.

Fatma is also highly skilled in stakeholder engagement and communication, leveraging her abilities to foster meaningful partnerships that drive positive change. She is an advocate for holistic community transformation and works tirelessly to ensure that the voices of Persons with disabilities are included in decision-making processes at all levels.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Fatma dedicates her time to mentoring others, particularly women and young persons with disabilities, sharing her knowledge and experience to inspire the next generation of leaders in the disability inclusion movement.

Her work continues to make a significant impact on disability rights, and her vision remains centered on creating a more inclusive and equitable society for all.
