Echo Network Africa’s (ENA) mission is to be a catalyst that empowers, positions, and advocates for women, young women, women with disabilities and women from marginalized communities towards the attainment of their full potential. On 6th February, 2022 we joined the world in celebrating the International day of Zero tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).
Over 200 million girls and women alive today have undergone FGM in 30 countries in Africa, the Middle East and Asia where FGM is practiced (Ref; WHO Fact sheet report 2022).
